Masculine Challenge

My upline gives us card challenges for each of our bi-monthly meeting. One of the challenges for our next meeting is Masculine Cards. I do not particularly like masculine cards and I have a heck of a time doing them! But I've managed to come up with two so far! The first card uses the So Many Scallops set from the Sale-a-Bration catalogue along with Little Pieces from our regular catalogue. The second card uses For a Friend which is a Level One hostess set.

Card on the left:
Cardstock: River Rock, Blue Bayou, and Very Vanilla

Card on the right:
Cardstock: Wild Wasabi, Wild Wasabi Textured, Chocolate Chip, Close to Cocoa, Very Vanilla

Accessories: Ticket Corner Punch, Silver Brads, Paper Piercer, Mat Pack

Sale-a-Bration Creations

My youngest daughter turned 1 on Valentine's Day and I realized that I didn't have any little girl stamps! So....this is what I came up with on a spur of the moment thing. Simple, simple, simple!

The card is actually 4 x 4. I really like the new Berry Bliss Designer Series paper and wanted to incorporate it into her card. I used Whisper White as the card base and then layered it with Purely Pomegranate and the Berry Bliss DSP. I used the Happy Birthday stamp from the So Many Scallops set that is featured in the Sale-a-Bration catalogue. And then punched it out using the Scallop Punch. I then added some Purely Pomegranate double-stitched ribbon to finish it off.


This was my card for my Valentine! Again I used the Berry Bliss paper and put it together on a Pretty in Pink base. I then layered Purely Pomegranate and Whisper White. I used Note of Love from the Lots of Thoughts set from the Sale-a-Bration catalogue. To add some dimension to the card, I used the spiral punch on the Whisper White card stock. I also used my 3/4" circle punch and attached the circles to the bottom of the card. And I used more of my favourite coloured ribbon!!!

She's All That

So....as a demonstrator, we get to preorder special catalogue merchandise early so we can be well-prepared to showcase all the great new stamp sets at our demonstrations. And this is no exception!!!! This set is from the Occasions Mini Catalogue that will be on the Stampin' Up website on March 1. Occasions will run from March 1 - May 31.

And this set is by far my most favourite set of all that I own! It is so very different than anything else Stampin' Up offers. I just LOVE it! And I hope you will, too!

I've used Bordering Blue, Chocolate Chip and Very Vanilla cardstock. I've also used my new Crop-a-Dile to punch and set the jumbo eyelets. The Crop-a-Dile is my new favourite accessory tool!!! It's a must have for piericing thru chip board and multiple layers of cardstock. And the best thing of all.....it's completely silent! No more banging away with the hammer!

I LOVE this set.....

This is the only set I pre-ordered for Sale-a-Bration as I was waiting until it started so I could do a big order and get the rest for FREE!!!! So, I should be getting my new SAB sets in about a week. But here's another card using the Friendship Blooms set.
